ResNet was formally created as a separate
unit within the Networking & Telecommunications Department in
the fall of 1999. Currently ResNet provides all voice and data services,
as well as manages the cable TV services for students living in The University
of Kansas Student Housing. The explosion of technology offerings
and the need to proactively provide our student customers with access
to these services in an effective and convenient way was the impetus
for this initiative. We work closely with Housing and Academic Computing
Services toward this end. The ResNet Advisory Board facilitates
the cross-departmental efforts in bringing unified information and services to our students.
